some of the most sought after corvettes are the 1967-1968 big block triple carb 3x2 corvettes
they came on both the oval port and rectangular port head engines, the rectangular port intakes are far rarer, than the oval port intakes,the oval port intake cars were much toned down at 400hp but actually they were a better choice for strictly street transportation because they had a torque curve that came in at a noticeably lower rpm range, and had hydraulic lifter cams
but any tri-power in excellent condition with matching parts can easily cost $4-$6k now (almost as much as the whole car did originally)you could get a whole big block corvette in 1967-1968 for UNDER $8K

now its true the L88 BIG BLOCK WAS THE TRUE PEAK HP WINNER, that had more horsepower and It had a single carb intake ,
but the tri-power cars were rated higher at 400hp and 435HP because at least rumors at the time said, the factory wanted only the true racers in the know about the true power potential buying the 430hp rated L88
The L88 Corvette.... is among the rarest of the rare of all Corvettes with production quantities of: 20 in 1967, 80 in 1968, and 116 in 1969... A total three year L88 production of only 216 units.

while the more common 375hp 396 intake looks similar its not identical and has a plenum divider intact

but the listed hp at the time showed the tri-power corvettes were the most powerful available at 425hp(1967) and 435 hp(1968)
and theres no doubt that the performance and sound of the 3x2 corvettes was impressive
theres many guys who took those intakes off and replaced them once they found that the better 4 barrel intakes and a single 780cfm-950cfm Holley could produce a bit more hp, in many cases

direct port fuel injection has a separate, individual fuel injector feeding each cylinder, the plenum essentially runs mostly dry air free of fuel
