I have read that it is common for Muncie M-20,21 and 22 4 speeds to leak due to the countershaft hole wearing
in the front of the case, and the ONLY way to fix it is to have the hole machined and bushed or replace the case.
I have seen a few mentions of making a gasket for the tranny to bell housing juncture and applying sealant at
the hole on the front prior to mating the trans to the housing.
Does anyone have experience with this?
I realize that the Muncie 4 speeds are pretty much only used by us old-timers, but anyone's experiences will be appreciated.
