I put this '55 Chevy 4x4 on the road in 2000, and just recently found the taillights were not operating....

Rust got into the springs behind the contacts...

Easiest way to go on this one was just put new taillights in, cost was reasonable, and used the new led bulbs....

    Plenty bright now...

The wire colors were way off, so I just wired it with the dimmer lights hooked to the running lights, and the brighter lights hooked to the brakes/turn signals, hope that is the "normal way" of doing it....

Also had a leaky exhaust manifold gasket, changed that out and put new bolts on the exhaust manifolds, I guess after 18 years this old gal deserves a few new parts...

    Unique !

That Mondello Intake has no logo but I recognize the bottom side & casting date logo style. Raised retangle.
    Made by Offenhauser.

I put an Offy intake on my 1965 olds 425 in the 63 Pontiac Grand Prix.
It has been an awesome engine Willy !
One of the best low budget engines ever for me.

Olsdmobile did something unique I have never seen other engines.
Put an oil reservoir in the crankshaft main journals.
Just in case no oil pressure.
Why they survive the worst case scenario Willy !

2Loose if you go fast enough you won't have to worry about brake lights because no one will be close enough to you when you turn or stop.:D:D
