until rather recently there was a wide well paved private two lane driveway ,
and truck entrance & exit to a closed 10,000 acre orchard, near my home that was over a mile long
that was on a few occasions used to do testing and engine break-ins ...
the local city recently incorporated and opened access too it as a local street,
as a housing development has purchased the orchard, and begun building homes,
and local leo supervision,and public use as a street, making its use by the public now ,
and use , by the local gear heads, for its previous use no longer viable.

The picture are a normal Friday night at the local track last year how many 10 second cars you see
I See No Vintage Gassed Racers.
No Drag rails.
No Big Super chargers sticking out of the hood with a Bug catcher.
No Nostalgia Super Stock Racers.
If a 10-second car present its a sleeper nitrous car and most are Chevrolet V8 powered.
Or a Pro Built Turbo car with a Transbrake equipped Turbo 400 and hooks up fast gets the Power down.
Takes a Pro and good tires to get a Hellcat in 10s and see none around.
 
Hard to believe but most of the cars run in the 14 15 16 second bracket on Friday
From what I remember they are the most reliable and consistent Foot Brake Bracket Racing cars 14-15-16 second ET.
Big old Tanks do very well.
Like a station wagon.
 
No you’re not reading my post right they’re street cars on Friday night you see in the pictures no race cars not a points race

Pro Tree .400 ?

Was looking at Coan Transbrakes last summer for a Turbo 400.
Almost bought the Cast Iron Pro Tree version. High Reviews by Bracket Racers.
Price not too bad.
Was inbetween work jobs so chickened out buying.
Still want it.
For 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix with its Turbo 400 Trans.
Have several BOP & Chevy TH400 transmissions here.
 
It’s open time shots it helps keep people off the streets 4 hours to run your car as many times you like without all the NHRA rules,
all you need is a helmet and if you don’t have a helmet the track will rent you one,
for 10 bucks it’s part of the summit race the strip not the street series
 
On a Friday night you can run any tree you ask for the starter will give you a 500 tree if you want a pro tree just shoe polish it to your window pro and you get a pro tree or green only go on green is like a stop light just a green light will come on

I will have to tell you sometime later about the time I took a past friend for a spin in my 70 TA.
Left a car show.
Got on it.
Scared him to death.
Thought he was a True Street Drag racer.
He thought he waa going to die.
Told him it was super fast.
My late bud Bill did too.
Faster than the L88 Corvettes and Hemis were.
He went to the cops and turned me in.
Faced 22 charges and jail time.
Got out of it all.
 
No trans brake are allowed in the classes that I run in You can use them on Friday because it doesn’t count for anything no points awarded
