Need cam and intake recommendation/confirmation on 454 Chevy

I wanted to build a big block for my 1972 C10 that came stock with a 402. So I got a salvage 1995 7.4 Liter VIN N motor. I liked the thought of a one piece rear main seal. At the machine shop it was bored over .030, decked and heads reworked. They stock pushrods and rocker arms were reused. Rods resized, jobber stock pistons used, M77 oil pump. When it knocked two different sets of cam bearings I got advice here to check cam. My machine shop got an extra set of eyes on the cam bearings and said he thought harmonics was developing. More news later on cam after it has been checked for core being bent. So….I am taking a deep breath and want to pick a cam that is about working from low r.p.m. to midrange for torque and drivability to drive to car shows, set in traffic, pull my aluminum 18’ boat and run down the turnpike at 80 m.p.h.. “Some” economy would be nice. It has an Edelbrock 2.0 RPM Air-gap manifold whose ovals are bigger than the peanut port stock Chevy heads. It has a FiTech EFI throttle body, factory dual exhaust manifolds, 3:08 rear end gearing, TCI 350 turbo with towing torque converter and MSD HEI distributor dialed in for this set up. I am interested in running 87 octane gas and leaving the compression around 9:1. I am 59 years old and just want to enjoy this truck now and again until they “throw dirt on my box.”
So what parts should I put this engine back together with to do what I want and be carefree?

the intake you have is a decent option, but ID strongly suggest , you call crower and ask their advice as to the correct cam, for what you describe
Id be looking at a hydraulic roller cam, and rockers like Ill link below,
but talk to crower tech guys
crower 619.661.6477

if you want to go mild and still get a boost over stock

I would go no wilder than this cam, with that 3.08 rear gear and stock converter

(I don't remember if you need the 01401 or 01401 LM asK the tech guys)
but get the correct cloyes roller timing chain
and Id darn sure use the crower suggested valve springs and clearances on the valve train
obviously check piston to valve clearances, verify valve spring installed height and clearances
and it would not hurt to get a rocker girdle, its not required but it stabilizes the whole valve train

What valve covers work well with a stud girdle kit? How do you set up EGR valve and breather to air cleaner or do you just eliminate breather EGR and air cleaner and use breather caps?
