Need trunk hinges

My 26 does not have it's original trunk hinges and none can be had. They apparently don't exist. What's there is large house door hinges.

I would use hinges from a later model if I could find them. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I saw something called a J hinge advertised. Does anyone have any experience with them and would it work?

visit a large marine yatch supply they comonly have high quality pollished stainless or chrome hinges in a wide selection of sizes/styles
