never let your welder be used without your direct and nearly constant supervision
I,M not sure exactly wither I should be mad at myself or my son here!
I foolishly assumed that my son, or anyone else I let use my tools, would understand the very basics of using my TIG welder after I showed them how to use it, well, that assumption proved to be rather misplaced!

I go out to use the TIG welder, only to find the recently refiled tank of ARGON IS EMPTY, empty, simply because my son who was the last one to use the tig welder , for a 10 minute job, failed to close the valve on the tank of gas when he last used the TIG and finished welding....while thats hardly a huge mistake its going to cost me a unplanned trip to the welding supply dealer, about $50 and its a P.I.T.A. and annoying, to know nearly a full tank of shield gas was wasted simply due to carelessness.
now WE ALL make stupid mistakes so I,m not really all that mad ,at him, more Im rather annoyed with BOTH myself and with him, for not checking that he closed the tank and put away the tools, after he borrowed the welder.
and since I,m basically supporting him and his family its not like I can expect him to cough up the $50 or go get a tank refilled

I think I know the feeling, you feel like it's something that you could have
seen coming and prevented it if you had just taken 15 seconds to check.
It's most definitely frustrating !

Keep on working Grumpy.
