Hello, my name is Tjerk Blumers and live in Sweden (moved here from the Netherlands).
I have owned my 1991 corvette coupé since 2005, and have joined a number of forums.
But I can´t recall if I ever introduced myself on either one of them... better late than never I guess.
I have always wanted a corvette since I was 9 or 10 years old and saw a silver colored C3 pass through the little village I used to live in.
I got hooked on the C4 because of the looks of it, I like the earlier style a little bit more over the 1991-1996 but found that the 1991 was the one with least problems, because it was the last model with the L98.
I could have bought a 1990, but there were very few that were in an original state.
My other car is a... 1987 Suzuki Samurai (SJ413), no way to compare these, but funny thing is, that mpg isn´t that far apart.
With four wheel drive engaged the mpg is even worse than the vette, go figure.
Probably an adjustment issue.
I hope to learn some more stuff about the vette than I already do, so I´ll be spending more time watching/reading this forum from now on.
