Hi Guys,
Just signed up and hoping to learn a lot from this site. I'm from Sydney, Australia and my main interest is fast, inboard Ski Boats and Small Block Chevy engines.
Regards,
James

Welcome to Grumpy’s James.
It’s almost 12 midnight on the east coast so it might be 7 to 9 hours before this forum lights up, about 10 pm your time.
What are you working on? Or what do you have with pictures?

Thanks
Rich

First up, take out the engine and strip out the hull. Pull down the engine and check valve clearances with the new Edelbrock Heads. Currently, looking for a Cam to replace the existing one and give me a bit more top end Anyone got any advice on “Marine” Cams??

Yep, it’s reasonably light, the hull was built in 1971 and weighs about 800 pounds plus 600 pounds for the SBC. It was doing 54mph at 4,500rpm prior to stripping it out and after the restoration project with new heads, cam and intake I’m hoping to get another 1,000 revs and 10mph.
