Hi from a new Guy in Tallahassee, Florida.
Grew up in the desert near Reno, Nevada....spent 25 years in the Silicon Valley, before escaping CA for the deep South.
Currently have three Camaros ('92RS, '88IROC and '72 RS/SS350) , as well as a '29 Model A, a '70 VW Beetle an '04 Tahoe and am currently restoring a '59 Triumph TR3.

I at one time , back in the early 1970s spent a good deal of time,
helping, a friend,
install a 377 SBC and a muncie in a 3000 healey,
he had purchased for $1400 with a blown engine

that looked rather similar to this picture

That must have been a fun ride Grumpy. So finish the story - you left us hanging.

not much to tell other than he eventually had a significantly faster healey, than most people might have anticipated.
keep in mind back then, tires and suspension tech sucked, the car ran low 12 second quart times,
and while that was much faster than most muscle cars, at that time,
but not nearly what could be done today.
We were both in college at that time, not much money, to put into cars, but we managed to do a good deal, of mods
