New Winchester Cartridge ,can Transform Ar15 Variants Into A Decent Whitetail Deer Rifle

If one looks the 350 Lemon is a straight wall 35 Remington. They are pretty much a mirror of each other as for ballistics. Also the down side for the 350 is the bullet is a .355 instead of a .358 so it will be more expensive to load for.

There is a couple of things that make this cartridge usable and that is in areas that one must use a straight walled case and nothing else out there floats there boat and of course it is a hot round today so ammo can be found unlike the 35 Remington.

For myself since I do not live in a restricted area and if I wish to use like cartridge I will simply grab my Ole Marlin 336 in 35 Remington loaded with some home cast 220Gr pills and go hunting. :).

But really after the Magnum thread everyone should know that there is nothing really new that an older cartridge design can not do.

yeah, there's not much in the way of big game you can't very successfully hunt with a 375 H&H
(designed in 1912)
and Ive hunted elk and deer with a marlin lever action 45/70 with 405 grain cast bullets very effectively.
(designed in 1873)
( all designed over 100 years ago)
one of my favorite rifles is the browning BLR in 358 win, certainly not new as its at least a 67 year old cartridge design
and the 35 whelen, which is years older as it was designed in, 1922 100 years ago
load a 250 grain speer bullet in either the 358 or 35 whelen and you have a cartridge almost as lethal,
as and better newer design's at ranges under 250 yards in the hands of a consistently good marksman

I was watching an article on the .284 diameter offerings and there are some pretty good guns in that group I have a &mm08 and a 7mm Mag that I might have to re visit

The best part is the .358 calibers on up are great cast bullet cartridges. Like the 358 Winchester and 35 Whelen. The 358009 comes to mind lol.

Ive found this mold works reasonably well in booth the 358 win blr, and 357 mag marlin carbines

I have that mold and one by a custom maker BRP that no longer produces molds but it is a bit larger diameter for a better fit and 220Gr I use them in the .35 Remington and 358 Winchester I have yet to use it in the 35 Whelen Ackley Improved.
