Well when I was a young buck of 17 I got turned on to cars and had my first real car a 68 Chevelle SS 396, all of a sudden A wife, 3 boys 8 dogs and twenty years go by and all of a sudden I get the urge again, except that a lot has changed, Having read many informative posts from former miami guy Grumpvette I am slowly trying to recreate my old High School ride and looking forward to hanging around here, thanks Grumpyvette for taking the time to put this together I cant imagine the amount of work it takes to do this as far as your time goes but I can imagine how much wealth of knowledge lies herein
thanks for making things happen!!!!

I figured some one needed to put together some basic info to help the newer guys avoid all the mistakes I see being made, over the years, I sure learned much of the stuff the hard way so I hope I can prevent or help others from needing to go that route, its usually a lot faster and cheaper learning from other peoples mistakes and experience when they succeed, rather than making your own, mistakes and learning as you go.!

Thanks Grumpyvette, I recently saw a sig that went like this

Good decisions come from Knowledge
Knowledge comes from Experience
Experience comes from Bad Decisions

so friggin true!!! So hopefully this your forum will allow a shortcut from this tried and true road!! thanks for doing it!!l

thats one reason I started this site, to try to help the new guys avoid the long expensive learning curve and avoid all the wasted money and time it requires......if I knew what I currently know when I was 17 years old I could have built faster cars and saved uncounted thousands in wasted parts costs, I cringe when I see young guys making silly mistakes, like I made, and try to point out how and why things should be done correctly
