Ive got a similar 1985 vette and a 1996 c4 , and Ive worked on lots of the 1984 x fires so if you've got questions I MIGHT know whats wrong and be able to help, or we can look into the answer for you in many cases
DID YOU BUY THE CORRECT SHOP MANUAL YET??
my dads family was from Ontario originally. but moved south to the U.S.A about the time of the french & Indian wars in the 1750s, "BLACKSMITHS,FUR TRAPPERS, a few business men" according to family records
PLEASE! look around, use the search feature, follow links , and the sub, links as theres a good deal more here already than is instantly obvious, Ive set the site up as a teaching and reference resource so please post questions or suggestions as you see a need,and enjoy!

I JUST STARTED THE FORUM AS A ENGINE AND HOT RODDERS KNOWLEDGE SOURCE BECAUSE SEVERAL PLACES ID POSTED YEARS OF INFO CLOSED WITH LITTLE NOTICE OR CHANGED SO THAT OLD POSTED INFO WAS NO LONGER ACCESSIBLE, THERE'S A GREAT DEAL MORE TO COME AND FEEL FREE TO ADD ANYTHING YOU THINK WILL BE HELPFUL.
btw the more pictures you post and well thought thru and detailed questions you ask the more likely you'll be to get interested responses from most readers on the site
