Greetings all,
I'm a regular on the Corvette Forum and have been lurking here for some time now.
Recently upgraded my 86 vette with the edelbrock pro-flo xt and 200cc heads. Car came with decent cam and headers.
Now that the motor is running well the next issue is the drive train. I have the 4+3 trans with the Dana 44 with 3.07 gears. There is play in the diff for sure and I will redo the bearings and what ever else is worn in the trans.
Not for use at the strip just a nice quick road car. I've had Corvettes off and on for the last 35 years.

welcome to the forums/web site
U-joints generally get significant wear long before the differential,
I suggest you replace all 6 of your current u-joints at one time,
its not overly difficult or expensive and most guys can do it in under 4 hours .
even without most of the proper tools and if your corvettes got over 80K-90K miles .
your well past due!
buy brand name non-greasable hd joints

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...id+v8,1041219,drivetrain,universal+joint,2392

and see if it helps, its only an afternoon well spent,
If you were local ..., WEST PALM/LOXAHATCHEE
Id suggest you stop by I have a lift, hydraulic press, & and the tools required to speed the job up considerably,
I don,t know where PDX is but I suspect its that west coast airport area

read the links first
