I was introduced to this site by Randy W and thanks. It looks like an interesting place to be and since I'm self employed I need all the distractions I can get..

Cheers

great! bring all the friends questions and pictures of your projects to the site so we can all learn from each other!

PLEASE! look around, use the search feature, follow links , and the sub, links as theres a good deal more here already than is instantly obvious, Ive set the site up as a teaching and reference resource so please post questions or suggestions as you see a need, and enjoy!
please tell your friends too join also as the more info shared the better, the object of the site is to allow you too more efficiently access info on your questions, or build a better combo, and if you can add anything useful please do so!
Ive set this up so you have links to related info and if you follow, and READ THRU the links you'll gain a great deal of knowledge
I JUST STARTED THE FORUM AS A ENGINE AND HOT RODDERS KNOWLEDGE SOURCE BECAUSE SEVERAL PLACES ID POSTED YEARS OF INFO CLOSED WITH LITTLE NOTICE OR CHANGED SO THAT OLD POSTED INFO WAS NO LONGER ACCESSIBLE, THERE'S A GREAT DEAL MORE TO COME AND FEEL FREE TO ADD ANYTHING YOU THINK WILL BE HELPFUL.
btw the more pictures you post and well thought thru and detailed questions you ask the more likely you'll be to get interested responses from most readers on the site

Welcome aboard northernyankee!! Over here you will find people way more conducive to adult oriented conversations on all topics, even politics! And we like girlie pictures, there's no pretense that we don't look at boobs!

I'm more into nature and wildlife, this is one of my favorite shots of a cougar taking a nap in a tree

Welcome to the forum ! Working on any projects ?

I don't know about that cougar, but for me that looks painful !

its probably not all that painful to play with that , well...until the wifes lawyers get involved

As for projects I have an 86 T-Top Pontiac GP that I play with. It's got a 355 with vortec heads and a T5 WC sitting behind it. I'm putting in a 76 Chevelle 8.2 rear with an Eaton posi 3.08 this week. I had the body off last year and replaced the frame and boxed the new one. I work on race cars and hold a Nascar crew licence so I have access to some info and parts that work pretty good on my GP. Here's a pic of the race car after it met the inside wall with some. We had the car out the next Friday nite with a new front clip and it didn't even loose a 1/10

Tell me more about the NASCAR Crew License, what's involved in getting one ? Do you have to be licensed to work in the pits ?

You have to be on a crew for a car at a Nascar sanctioned track and you need the licence to get into the pits. It's around $90 and it includes insurance coverage. There is no questions of skills or education.

I was just curious. So they just want your money ! :)

It always feels good when you can bounce right back, and not skip a beat.

you catch on quick...

but I have to add being a Nascar member our sponsors are permitted to use the Nascar emblem in their advertising so it does help to bring in some money...
