Aside from the commercial driveway cleaners available at HDEPOT, what method of cleaning have you found that works to either wash away or neutralize the trans, brake fluid and oils? I have a little area of depression in the blacktop. Is there any patching compound to levels off and sticks to the unsightly area without looking like a hot mess?

a gallon of boiling hot water and add a couple teaspoons of dawn dish wash detergent,
mix and pour on area in question, over an hour or two hot water and dawn, mix,
oil will leach much of the oil out ,
but it will also loosen the asphalt surface marginally,
allowed to set over night the dawn dish wash detergent,
helps loosen and float oil out of surface without destroying nearly as much of the asphalt as typical driveway cleaners do.
solvents like simple green or drive way cleaners designed for concrete will far more rapidly dissolve asphalt

pressure wash , but be careful as to much direct spray pressure may damage surfaces

That sounds like a plan, thanks. I have to get a pressure washer. The north side of our house has bloom, mold and some moss growing everywhere. Under the wrap around porch we’re plagued with spider webs, webs trapping dirt, dust, mud bees and bugs on the siding and ceilings. Elsewhere it’s just plan dirt on the siding and windows. The washer rentals here are nearly $90 a day, and a weekly rental almost $400! I can just buy a cheap on for that price. A buddy that paints houses told me not to bother with any power washer less than 4000 psi, otherwise any less wont do the job needed. I also have some greens growing between the pavers installed years ago without the sealing polysand, I was out of commission before I finished a 3,000 sq ft walkway so now I planning to power wash when the weather gets cooler in October. Btw, guys that power wash houses want $1,200 to wash my house - that’s insane to me!
A message to all you guys out of work, move here, contractors charge big bucks for all the trades and they have no shortage of work!

Oh, any recommendations for power washers close to or above 4,000 psi? Is it possible to find one at or less than $500? I had a 3200 psi washer from HDepot but lended it to a friend and it disappeared.
