If your getting into reloading , be aware mill surplus brass,
can be found at big discounts in larger batches ,
in various conditions and processed vs un-processed
for many commercial handgun calibers I'm usually ,
preferring starline brass when I can get it!
generally in 1000 case lots for pistols
occasionally rifles when the calibers listed
once fired military brass for rifles in larger lots can be reasonably priced,
per case,
if you can get 4-6 buddies to split the cost and cases
shop carefully, call or visit 12 on line vendors and youll get 12 prices and 12 different batch volumes listed
search at least 10 vendors

lots of good sources and yeah you will occasionally receive defective cases, in any large bunch

a few larger indoor and outdoor ranges sell random brass ,
they sweep up, in 5 gallon buckets, prices vary wildly,
$30:D-$100:( for a 5 gallon bucket is rather common,
obviously you get zero control on condition or whats in the bucket,
most ranges require you supply the bucket
and at least 25% will be worthless damaged or steel or berdan primed non-reloadable cases.

thats because those SAME people are full of S#IT!

No such thing as too much ammo --when you run out you will need the TP to clean up--if you survive.

Hard to carry enough if on foot and re-supply will be hard to come by.

DaneH
if you have any good quality brass in,
gallon milk jugs or 5-gallon pail quantities
in
10mm
44mag,
357 mag
or
308 win
or 30/06
you care to sell at competitive prices.
please let me know in a private message

BTW, I find it rather interesting that most of the local gunshops have nearly bare shelves when it comes to ammo,
and the common calibers like 9mm para, 45 acp, 40 S&W and 357 mag, 223, rem, 7.62x39, 308 win, and 12 ga buckshot were according to the
cartridges most in-demand and those while originally stacked in the back rooms, in good amounts still sold out very rapidly.
I also asked about reloading components and this is where the more dedicated gun enthusiasts have a huge advantage,
components for reloading are while in obvious demand, were mostly still available in decent quantitys if you shop carefully.
in a few calibers , mostly handgun ,you could get by rather well,
with home cast bullets ,
if you already own reloadable brass cases, bullet molds
,and matched reloading tools, like a dies, press, scales etc.
and had the forethought to maintain a useable stock of matched powder and primers
