I have my 62 parked at my grandpas house. In his driveway. too many cars at my parents house for it.
He parked it on the sidewalk and he got A LOT of trouble from his neighbors because it's a bit beat up. But it runs great so far. Even the police came by.
So he moved it into his driveway and they give him dirty looks and what not as if he's a damn criminal for having an old truck in his possession.
So, now he feels weird about having the truck worked on now, he feels his neighbors from hell will further complain if I go over their and wrench on it or sand it down a bit. But the truck is in his driveway now.
Would any of you gearheads out their care what your neighbors thought if your truck was beat up?
Would you let them stop you from working on your old trucks and fixing them up?
I hear a good many people who have similar issues, I know I did when I lived on a standard 1/4 acre lot in miami, most of us that have lived in communities with bye laws and small tightly packed lot line boundry's , that are all to common in middle class neighborhoods, are forced to deal with a high percentage of
MRS KRAVITS type neighbors
A FEW ROUGHLY RELATED HUMOROUS PICTURES
you'll have a difficult time in many areas, with noisy jerks that will not appreciate anyone who works on their car in the drive way or who parks more than two cars in plain sight.
(especially any car thats more than 10 years old)
so it pays to do the research before you buy a home!
thats one reason I saved and planed and did the research , that was required too move and retire on a 5 acre rural community with a home owners association that does not limit what you do on your own property to any great extent.
it helps to do the research and check building codes.
I'M rather sure many of the web site members have faced or currently deal with people that make working on your car anyplace in plain sight a P.I.T.A. at times!
