piston wrist pins, one really over-looked part.

its unfortunate but theres always going to be some transaction where machine shops or suppliers drop the ball or screw up.
Ive certainly had more than what Id consider my fair share of less than ideal transactions and dealing with machine shops over the decades,
and you can,t even in most cases point out the ones you should always go too...or avoid simply because many will go for hundreds of transactions,
having hundreds of happy customers.. then a couple totally #$%^& up , totally uncharacteristic transaction's,
and following with a "we just don,t really give a S4$%^& attitude and less than quality parts shipped."
then followed inexplicably reverting back to the normal customer relationship.

You have to pick someone eventually.
I know my old Bud Steve.
He works at his own pace.
Tell him today you get it 2 weeks from now.
Top Notch work.
I get to check and measure with him.
No other shop will do the same here.

Likely take 6-7 months for him to get the machine work done on my 455 Pontiac shortblock.
Faster if I hang out with him every night after work.
It is what he wants me to.
He gets lonely in that shop by himself.
Never been right all there.
JUST how he is Steve.

Grumpy if I run the Ti Rods the pin setting or compression height will be 1.1875" what I calculated.
Much like a 400 SBC with 6.0" rods the wrist pin will intersect oil ring lands.
I know aluminium buttons are used to support the oil rings then.
How well do they hold up from your experience?
Held up fine in dirt track engines I have seen.
WOT If they let go on me the Rear Tires will lock up .
4-speed Muncie.
One concern.

1.480 Pin setting no issue with standard length Crower Forged rods.
