Planning a new 383 build that is now going to be a 400

The long awaited update, finally got my nova back at my house, gonna have to get some cheapy tires for it, they are eat up with dry rot. Gonna get some cheapies so it will roll. In the process of deciding on what overdrive transmission I will use. Rick and I gave discussed it several times, I am hoping he will help me build a 200-4R.
Sell your Pro Built Tubo400 to a Drag Racer Bob or someone with a High Powered LS Car.
Turbo 400 is the only that holds up for them.

I am thinking of making my own driveshaft, would 3 inch sched 40 pipe be enough? It’s about 3/16 thick!

Top Fuel & Funny car layout is the ultimate.
Some Salt Flat Racers.
No Driveshafts used.
No Rear suspension.
Direct drive from the slipper clutch to the Strange Engineering Diff.
Cool layout.
Spud spline drive coupling.
1 piece solid pass though Titanium drive axle Full spooled, Full Floater Rear Diff.

Drive shaft costing $2,000+ is WAY out of my budget! I need Bryan’s money! Lol
I can't afford a Mark Williams Carbon Fiber Driveshaft either. Seen them in person.
Very nice.
Self employed again here.
No sidejobs going on.
Want to go back to work soon Employed.
Strange Engineering Mild steel I can afford.
About $160-180.
DOM Drawn Over Mandrel Tubing.
Chrome moly a bit more but affordable from Strange here in IL.
Thicker wall than stock.

There is a Driveshaft shoo in Plainfield by Joliet. Mom and Pops shop.
One in Bloomington IL too.
Both shops 50 miles away.
A shop in Rockford IL too.
70 miles away.

I would have one made and balanced at a local driveline shop. Over the last few days I've read this entire thread and I am impressed with all your hard work and patience. You'll have a very nice car you built.

Hey guys am finally getting back to work on the BulletNova this spring. Rick(Indycars) is gonna help me built the tranny, and just purchased the new wheels and tires. I really wanted 50s in back but there’s not enough room in the wheel wells. Still gonna look good!

Thanks Sam, I love being creative!

Mini tub the Nova Busterm !

Wouldn’t do any good the exhaust runs into the wheel well that’s what’s limiting the tire and wheel.

The front area of the well is clear, rear area of the car has just one pathway for exhaust. If I get wider tires just have to jack the car up.

You could do side exhaust like modern Road race car has.

Of course simple turn down dumps and eliminate the tailpipes.
It will be real loud on the street and driving cruising unless you use modern versions of the Walker Super Dynomax mufflers long case style...got discontinued, new name I can not recall right now.
