Possible Fuel Delivery System Changes?

Should I consider changing out the factory metering rods and jets on the Quadrajet as I installing a pair of Long branch factory exhaust manifolds from 421 and 428s engines, increasing the size of the exhaust system with low restriction mufflers and adding an open filament air filter and housing?
There is also the matter of the rear gears were changed from 3.23 (I think was stock) to 3.75 - is there any reason to even think about this?
 
yes theres a valid reason to do so, but only careful testing and tuning will result in selecting and installing ,
the correct (likely richer metering fuel delivery components required) guessing, and random parts swapping,
is very unlikely to provide the correct results
 
I have to order the premium rebuild kit from Cliffs so I figured get everything now. Thinking of just increasing sizes by one to the richer side.

Question - if you used a premium ethanol resistant accelerator pump on a rebuild but never used that carb, fuel never touched it or the carb - how long would it be good for sitting on the shelf?
 
if in a zip lock bag to prevent moisture at least several years, probably a decade
