Stepping down from a 2500 and diesel, not even checking all the boxes it’s still in the upper $70’s. The package deals suck, to get one thing you want - you must take something totally useless and it cost thousands. Then to get some options they make you delete others you want as well.
What, is white the only color you don’t have to pay for? Just for kicks I did the online “build your truck” for all the options super truck - It topped $130,000 for a pick up! A freak’n pick up!

I think I’ll just keep fixing my old pickup and just get a new car. For some reason anywhere I go guys always tell me “I like your truck” they made a million of them, I don’t get it?

yeah, the prices quoted are insane, and the sales guys , here in north Texas, I talked with seemed unconcerned,
they stated they sell every crew cab, 4x4 GMC, toyota, Nissan, or ford truck they get in the week it arrives

No but they will give you an old beater rental car and their $129.95 oil change special next time you’re in for service!

I noticed the more expensive these cars and trucks become the more they decline replacing or offering something they used to take care of. Contrast with other makes, Chevrolet offers nothing and when you have a Japanese vehicle their dealers bend over backwards to make you happy.

Auto loans will have to offer longer terms someday. how many could afford $100,000 in 48 to 60 months even with special interest rates. Caddy’s and Buicks have many models that reach that level and beyond. Dumpy waiting areas and if they give you a loaner for your $100,000 car they give you a stripped, well used Malibu.

That is $76,000 for a 2022 GMC 1500 4x4 crew cab with 5.3 and 20” painted wheels (not spending an extra $3600 for 22” wheels). A rear backup camera, power steps, and upgraded radio. They make you take the power moon roof - I don’t ever open) just to get a better than stock radio and floor mats. A $1,000 for the Red center bow tie in the grill, door sill lights and wheel locks! What thief gives a dam about wheel locks these days. They charge $200 for WL that can be busted off in a couple seconds, come on!

I noticed the crazy long list of things the dealer can install - they never had so much in past years. If you have Amazon Prime just forget all that dealer money! A cat back exhaust for $1,500, really! They‘re usually the mild crap made by Corsa, anything worth bothering with say’s it’s for “Off Road use only.” $550 for a locking console and a plastic storage tray for under the back seat? $1200 for a hard plastic bed cover ? Nope!
Who wants OnStar these days? And over $4,000 more to go to a 6.5’ bed from a 5 footer? But hold on a minute, what’s that? If I choose 3 premium options I’ll get a $500 savings? Let me jump all over that deal!
