Has anyone here had any experience with pro comp connecting rods? I found a rotating assembly that uses them and would like to know the reviews you have with these rods. They are defined as this--Pro Comp 5.7 Bushed,4130 alloy,580 gramweight, arp 8740 screws. They have already been balanced and ground for stroker clearance. Thanks for info. Dusty

IVE not as yet heard ANYONE having a problem with those connecting rods,
they are probably import rods,
that may or may not be a bad thing,as some imports are junk and some are a good value,
and while they are fairly new, they don,t seem to have had any problems or its likely that I would have heard something.
Ive used many DOZENS of sets of 4340 forged steel,SCAT,EAGLE connecting rods,in both BBC and SBC and a few pontiac engine builds, the rods IVE measured were dead on correctly made, Ive even used CAT brand imports, most are good to excellent values, as long as you used the 4340 rods with the ARP bolts (I usually get the upgrade bolts)
personally Id use those, with little worries, now IM not about to suggest that the OLIVER,CROWER or HOWARD rods are not better rods, but unless your exceeding 4000fpm in piston speeds or about 650hp Id have little worry about the rods

read these, and the sub linked info

Thanks as always, that was the answer I was hoping to get. So now I will try and get the rotating assembly, or maybe ask Santa to bring it.
