PROMAXX heads BBC, SBC, SBF

solid fixture here in the forum
so maybe this is old news but promaxx apparently acquired the company that acquired patriot cylinder heads, which made very economical high performance aluminum cylinder heads here in the USA, they also CNC machine stock heads in addition to making their own castings for big blocks, small blocks and small fords.

they dont have the whole lineup of the old patriot heads but they do have the patriot vortecs rolling out and bigger inch combos would benefit from those cnc'd higher lift vortecs... at $764/pr they certainly are a bargain

The Pro Max 320cc BBC Heads assembled for $1500 is interesting Phil.
I wish.. ...
I want to use that 427 Tall Deck & build it.

Been reading some on Turbo charging.
I think its the way to go for a Power adder.
Simple & Reliable when setup correct.

Pontiac V8 or BBC ?
I like them both.

Olds V8 be Ok but aftermarket support just not there for affordable big HP to 700+.
Rare Batten Cylinder heads made not cheap$$$$$,

big blocks benefit the most, i think, because you simply cant get a cheaper set of aluminum heads from an american company... pro filer is nice if you have a .800" lift cam, the old patriot website used to have flow data on the page but promaxx apparently doesnt offer that yet on their website. having them in the states and accountable to their customers is a big plus over the chinese ebay aluminum head fiasco thats been going on for a couple years now.

Id love to see flow data from a couple independent test sources, and a trusted machine shop engine builders critique on the machining and quality control, casting thickness alloy used and quality

Ive frequently been amazed at what a few minor tweaks to the out of the box head castings can do to increase flow and power,at one time I got to help re-assemble an engine where I had zero input in parts selection, a couple years ago I had the opportunity to re-build a 540 big block chevy, the engines owner, had previously purchased an earlier version of these 360cc trickflow heads, we re-built a 12.3:1 compression race engine, with a tunnel ram intake for a street rod similar to Ricks t-bucket, in weight but it was a stripped 1933 buick, with a custom tube frame and he was very pleased with the results

Its something to watch out for Phil in the next year.
It takes a while these days to save up $3,000-$10,000 For a complete engine build.
If I had a Mechanics job paying $75-100k per year it would be easy.
Do it in a few months time working.
They do exist those jobs. In Chicago for me .
Some Heavy equipment Mechancs get paid $200k per year I have heard.

I dont like flipping too many Pontiac parts.
Many are unobtainable today what I have put away.
More valuable than HP Race alone to me.
