Pushrod Length Tolerance

The joys of Hot Rodding will drive yo crazy or broke--pick your poison.:):):)
When your broke you have cut back on power expectations.
When you have spare $$$$ get it done as soon as you can.
Big Blocks my favorite but I like a Mouse SBC too.
Always find a way for purchase High Octane Race Gas later for the Race car.
Just Drive and Race and go home with a Win.

never use both push rod guides and self aligning rockers

youll be far ahead if you carefully read the linked and sub-linked info

I am not. As I indicated, I removed the guide "fingers" from the guides so that I could use the remaining plates as spacers.
See the pics...........

yes I saw that info posted, the posted info was more designed for readers in the future with similar issues.
but please keep in mind 99.9% of the time I'm thinking along the lines of,
who might read through the thread, months or even years from now,
and I would prefer to hit, or point too, the majority of the options,
as neither of us will know what they are researching or dealing with.
what I post is almost never personal, and yes I've been accused on more than one occasion,
of posting far more loosely related info than required to solve the issue at hand,
but I've also found that guys reading the linked info tend to learn to think through options and learn to isolate and test,
a very valuable skill for a car enthusiast to have.
I get a good many guys posting comments on linked info like...
images

"wow! I never thought of that! I should have tested for that I'd have saved hours of frustration "
or
"damn, Grumpy I spent hours looking for an answer and I was about to pull my hair out,
then I remembered a link I read and almost skipped, weeks ago, bingo, the answer!"

New pushrods are in.....delivered 2 days ahead of schedule. Gotta love amazon...

EVERY valve/pushrod check out perfect on the length gauge.
Gauge resting on the falve stem and pushrod tip grazing the gauge.
I checked the corners with ink and all are right smack dab in the middle.
Gotta love it when a plan comes together............
