Put Some E85 In My Tank As An Experiment

Big mistake! I was trying to lean out my A/F ratios at full throttle and saw that my local Chevron now has E85 at the pump. I put 3 gallons in and 17gals of 91 gasoline to fill my tank. The Corvette ran fine at light throttle and even at moderate acceleration. Full throttle though it would lean out on the top end and I could feel the reduced power. I've pulled most of the fuel out and spread it between my other cars and refilled my tank with straight gas. Corvette is running fine again and I've decided that a 11.9-12.2 A/F ratio at full throttle is just fine.

What I did discover though is I must be on the edge of what my fuel injectors can deliver and I just may have to upsize them after my Hedman headers and exhaust upgrade goes on and I improve the exhaust flow.

E85 has its value of higher octane although as I understand it requires roughly 30% more of it to work properly.
That being said when you diluted your gasoline you helped the octane but changed the burn characteristics likely making it even leaner.
Example: an EFI trick when switching from gasoline to e85.
Providing your EFI is properly tuned and thenVE table truly matches the motor without massive learns and trims.... increase the calculated displacement in the ECU by 30% and it will run well.
