now the car I saw was white , not like these picture,s I found of similar car's,
the guy pulled in next to me to get gas,
and I noticed the very obvious non-jag engine idle sound,
so I asked the owner what he had done to the car,
he said the original engine had a broken crank,
I only got to talk for 4-5 minutes as both the WIVES were there and neither are car enthusiasts.
so he said, had simply had his best friend who was a chevy mechanic,
find him an engine (in this case it was a 402 chevy BBC) a few years ago.
and he had the friend modified the engine before it was installed with higher compression pistons and a mid range cam,new rings and bearings.
and the friend had added a th400 transmission. and done 100% of the work, as he personally was not mechanically inclined but he was thrilled with the resulting power increase.
the car looked like it was a very clean almost factory install, a bit tight but impressive.
