The label visible in the last photo was unreadable, so I couldn't tell what model floor jack I had. But
never fear, I found my manual that was 38 years old.

I purchased a seal kit from from HRCnow and cost about $50. It must fit several different models as
I had lots of left over seals.

This is what I started with, kinda dirty after 38 years.

The PDF file for the manual was too big to upload, so I converted it to JPG files that you see below.

Finish the restore of my Sears floor jack. It's nice to have two floor jacks again. It's much harder
lunging around the big Walker jack for the little things, like the TBucket.

It's easy to see why the jack would not stay up when you look at the old seal.

I used a DA sander at first, but then I could tell that the manufacture never removed the mill scale
from the handle before they painted, so I did using a flap wheel! Then I primed and painted it white,
just like it was originally.

I removed all the sharp edges on the frame. Then I scuffed, wiped it down with Acetone and
painted it Satin Peacock, it was the closest I could find to the original color.

I jacked up the Navigator and it leaked down slowly until the wheels touched. I jacked it up again and
it held just fine this time.

Lots of good info about rebuilding jacks of all kinds at the link below. Same place I purchased the seal
kit from.
