Reciprocating Saws?

I was asked if the HF reciprocating saw, was a good value?
now if you only use it occasionally , yeah, its functional,
but its one of the few tools I bought from HF that I was not impressed with!

I have used both a HF and milwaulkee Reciprocating Saw (yes just my opinion)
and yes I own both , theres no way you can compare quality or the usefulness of both,
yes theres a huge difference in cost, and for the price difference you could buy 3-4 HF saws
but once youve tried both ,
I think the price of the milwaulkee is well warranted, if you use the Reciprocating Saw frequently,
example, I crawl up on the shop to cut a hole for a roof vent and at my age the last thing I want,
is to have to go back to get the more expensive saw because the HF just won,t handle the stress, induced...

now I buy a few tools from HF and they have lots of tools I find useful, like the 12 ton jack stands,
a 3 ton high lift floor jack, several of the wrench sets, but perhaps I got the only lemon Reciprocating Saw they ever sold in a decade,
but the one I purchased is easy to stall and has no where near,
the required torque I expect in a decent tool.

I agree Grumpy.
I like my Milwaukee Sawzall.
Think it has a 10 amp motor.

Been doing race car fab with Eddie at night.
Quality tools important.
Seldom use Snap On actually.

Got hurt last night working.
Left fingers healing yet.
Power tools can be dangerous.
Need a milling machine of some sort at Eds.
Grinding can be dangerous.
Bridgeport VERTICLE mill be ideal.

The good tools cost.
Well worth it though.

Hope your fingers heal fast Maniac.
They are ok so so.
Worked with Ed last night again.
Still get up early.
To bed at 4Am.
Up at 5am.
Need to go back to sleep for a while.
Working again tonight on that Buick Opel.
Update later on DC.
Took photos.
Kinda of a Hodgepodge.
Still mocking up. Fabbing. Improvising as we go.
Had rust on the main front frame rails.
Cut bad out of drivers side last night I did.
It's getting Tube Framed now.
Tricky stuff.
Ed is leading. I come up with ideas too.

Takes so much time !
