replacing automatic torque converter with clutch

back in the 1970s automatic transmissions were hardly considered ideal for performance use.
torque converters were not designed for nor would they hold up under huge stress loads

I have seen a few Vintage TurboFlites 400's for sale recent Grumpy.
I like the idea. Any stall speed required is just a Left foot away.
Not a Mod I want to make to the 4-speed TA.
Maybe down the road with the '63 GP.
I need specialized 4-speed parts just for the 63-64 Full size Pontiacs.
Kinda pricey.
Fabcraft reproduces parts required also.

sounds cool but i think a trans brake kind of makes that obsolete.
