Selecting a bellhousing for a 68 camaro

I would only use a SFI Steel bellhousing myself.
Trick Titanium SFI bell better but it's about $10k new.

Lakewood.
Mcloud.
Quick time.

Quick time has too many window openings for my liking for drag race.
Road Racers like.
Lighter.

I use a Mcloud and matching block protector plate on my old Trans Am.

All the aftermarket SFI scattershiels bellhousing clear all popular headers.
Issue you may have is if the car is lowered.
Be like slammed 1-2 inches off the ground.
SFI Bell is full round.

Except Quick time SFI BELLS.
open on bottom side.

Factory GM bellhousing is prone to cracking also with a High Hp High torque engine.
Drop the Trans on the ground at speed.

Never contain a clutch flywheel explosion like a SFI BELL.
Happened to me years back.
No game.
Left a huge hole in the highway.

Heavy Pedal pressure may be a bit much if he is driving in traffic or road racing Grumpy.
Borg & Beck pressure plate clamps like a Wilton shop vise.
Bam engaged.
Need Strong Left Leg like we both have.

I guess, the pressure needed to operate the clutch, its a bit about what your used to driving,
and yes the expected peddle pressure might be noticeable, but the clutch works flawlessly
