Hi guys, Have a C20 77 p/u and am installing a 582 ci with 770hp . I am going to install an electric fuel pump but dont know how to determine what size pump to go for. Will holley black that flows 110 at 9psi be enouugh?
Then , i already have a 1/2" stainless fuel line from tank to motor but standard 5/16" tank connection, Do i need to upgrade this and if so , How??
Thanks in advance

short answer, when your installing something similar to this engine, the stock fuel lines and fuel pump were never designed to keep up or provide adequate flow
AN#8 or 1/2" internal fuel diam. size lines and a 120-140 gal per hour pump (general rule is the fuel pump should have a rating of a minimum of 150% of the engines minimum requirements to compensate for the inevitable flow restriction losses in lines and fittings and inertial loads during acceleration) would meet your engines requirements, the 5/16" fuel tank connection will be a big restriction, and you should use a return style fuel pressure regulator and a AN#8 feed line, ideally, but AN# 6 - 3/8" MINIMUM return line, and a fuel pressure regulator that has 1/2" inside diam, diam fuel line fittings
