snap ring pliers

theres few things more frustrating than running into a part you need to work on that requires you to use a special size or type of tool that you just don,t immediately have access too,or one that you are working on, and have the correct tool , you know is there in the shop some place, be you can,t find the damn thing and you know you have it!
If you took the time and spent the money to own the tool it should be easy to locate

now I have most of the more frequently used tools for engine rebuilds , but If I go over to help out many of the guys I know thats usually not the case and even when they do have the tools in inventory I rarely find they have bothered to label the tool chest drawers to allow other people to easily locate them,
I was recently over helping a friend at his shop and we were looking for his set of snap ring pliers to remove some lock rings....on some full floating piston pins..after 20-30 minutes of us both looking thru his tool boxes ,we eventually located them..., I jokingly suggested that... LABELING THE TOOL CHEST DRAWERS might be rather helpful in the future.

keep in mind theres a wide range of sizes and inside and outside lock designs, so the pins required vary as do the pliers and youll eventually find you need several types
