My interest for working on cars is fading fast. My goal is to clean house in 12 to 18 months. I have twin cars stashed away (off site) that needs only hardcore exterior paint and bodywork. I may get some joy banging out some dents, sanding and spraying. They were supposed to be started on 4 years ago, completed by fall last year for the kids to have for their last year of high school and college but not a dam thing has advanced.
For most people, having indoor storage for a few cars and free would be a dream, but for me it just made me too lazy to get to it and being sick and hospitalized several times hasn’t helped at all. I’m way behind selling off 4 or 5 vehicles that I was wishing for this spring to happen. Only now is a little bit happening and that’s being hampered by the heat that moved in.
About 5 yrs back I squirreled away all the supplies needed for bodywork and painting 2 cars. I have 5 milk crates full of sandpaper packs and rolls, 4 gals of paint, cans of reducer, epoxy primer, a variety of materials and supplies for leading in, masking paper, plastic liner, tack cloths, compounds. Painters tape is the only thing I wanted fresh when ready.
