I don't have Tilt/telescope steering in my '72, Can a '77 bolt right in without trouble of any kind? Ps, I wasn't sure which heading to put this under, so I'll try this place.

They are for years 1984 to 2004. I can get a 77 column for less than $200 but I need to know if the bolts line up and the wire harness mates the same. what year did they go to wipers on the column?
Never mind about the 77 column - what I need is to find out when the first year that wipers and headlight dimmer moved to the column and I can start looking for the year(s) before.
