I secured turbine hub with eight 10.9 grade boltsIMG_20200312_192517.jpg
I have to wait that i get cnc cut flanged to converter so tomorrow i start to asembly transmissions
I make one fullmanual 4l80 to my pick up
Another 4l80 to my buddys supercharged chevelle and one th400 to buddys square body
All transmissions get dual feed, roller thrust bearings,some pump and valvebody modifications
 
just a question,
if someone has a stock 4l80e transmission,
and wanted to buy a 3200rpm stall converter and convert the trans to full manual control,
whats the approximate cost and time frame?
what shifter is available for use with a full manual control on a 4l80e?

Converting to full manual doesnt cost nothing only few modifications to pump and wiring inside transmission
Total transmission.chigaco sells 4l80e converters, price for 3200 stall converter is around 400$
Every shifter that is for four gear transmission works
I takes maybe thre hours to make dual feed ,pump modifications and wiring + disassembling and assembling
 
So this mod could take the $500 trans controller off the table? That is a very interesting development! Now if I can only find this thread when I’m ready for it!

I tigged turbine fins and started to transmission work, found needle thrust bearing that works with no walk case bushing,sonnax also sells this kind kit

Firts 4l80e is ready,i did dual feed,block 3-4 accumulators,drill feeds bigger ,asembled sonnax large ratio boost valve

Iw been try to find information from 4l80 transbrake,some transmission shops make it to stock valvebody
Also did study hydraulic charts but i have no idea how they modified valve body

All transmissions are ready,i repaired one full manual 4l80e one automatic 4l80e and one th400 all transmissions got basic overhaul ,dual feed , sonnax boost valve and some valve body calibration
Torque converter is ready for balance
My buddys 4l80 is allready in car ,needs cooler lines and new drive shaft
That th400 was from h1 hummer and it had mechanical modulator valve with cable for throttle,that is great for supercharged or turbo car
have to look if i can find are someone manufacturing that part

Not much fabrication here because i started new project in gold mine,torque converter came from converter shop
They made balace job,not bad they grind off old weights 80g and weld 15g weight
And i also started to fit new door skin
