I am fairly stupid when it comes to transmission I know engines and some care. I have only driven stick a handful of times and clutch many times. I want to start out on a stick DD car as to learn stick better and then not to have to learn it later in life. Plus I love the way they sound and look!

My basic questions are this what do I need, what will the cost be, and how much labor work will be involved to convert an automatic 1971 Chevelle 383 stroker, and 400 turbo transmission.

I have not purchased the car yet but I will be purchasing this or another very similar Chevelle if this one is sold. So please stay on topic with this one and like I said keep in mind I am quite stupid when it comes to this. Thanks guys.!

I think youll find a great deal of related and useful info in these threads, youll obviously need the conversion parts, like the z-bar and the clutch petal assembly, hangers, linkage and new transmission, probably a new drive shaft, cross member , yoke, bell housing flywheel, clutch etc.
