TBucket Engine Project (Dart SHP)

Checked the shifter console and nothing was amiss there.

Didn't realize that I had fully drained the pan, so I didn't start the engine again to get pressures.

Check the TV valve it looks fine. The filter was good and sealed, no problem getting fluid.

I did find a possible short, but don't think that is my problem, it needs a ground to apply the solenoid.
Checked the fuse and it was OK.

More debris in the pan again, including more metal on the magnets. It's time to take this puppy out again and go thru the internals.

One point I have not mentioned yet, but may have bearing on this problem. When I first started the engine
the TV cable was not hooked up at the carb. I got so involved with engine issue that I never did connect the
TV valve until after the 10-15 minutes at 3500 rpm. This probably burnt up the trans and is causing all my
issues.

Fluid was real hot Rick.
The nice Heat Shrink tubing you put on over the solder joint melted away.

Good point Brian.
I hope you can get this sorted out without a complete rebuild Rick.
And it would really suck if all it took to destroy this transmission was not having the TV cable hooked up.

I dont think that was the issue Mike.
Trans was in park.
No need for Boosted line pressure to the clutch packs in park.
The Lube circuits were still working.
THERMAL RUN AWAY TOOK PLACE.
SMALL TRANS COOLER. NO FAN.
UNLIKE The Hayden #697 Trans Cooler I put on my 1999 Chevy Tahoe.
The Huge Moroso Twin Heatsink Trans Cooler I put on my 1963 Gp.
The Very Best made in the Drag Race World.

Did you clean the transmission last time, or it never got a chance to get dirty?
Nice engine stand adapted into transmission holder.:D
I would rather see it collect dust somewhere, instead of you having this problem and NEED to use it.

Worked on wife's brakes Sunday. Will be Tuesday or Wednesday before I get into the trans.
Ok.
The Wife has my Chevy Tahoe.
For work and run the kids around from Summer Daycare 3 days a week.
Her Honda blew out more brake lines again.
Going to redo all of of them in Nickle- Copper lines.
On the Chevy Tahoe now.

Driving the Corvette today.
Nice out.
Drive the 63 Gp one day this week.

Rick?
any progress on isolating the cause of the transmission related issues ?
