Anyone know if the forum is coming back or what's wrong with the forum.???

If it's not coming back, TBucketeers members feel free to hang your hat here then !!!

I don't Rick.
Just a Mechanic here.

I don't know IT Computer work anywhere near what You do.

I found Grumpy's some time back. It sounds like a nice place to discuss T Bucket issues.
I was out of town for a week and yesterday I tried to log on to the T Bucketeers forum with no luck.
Does anyone know if they are gone for good or just down for maintenance?

Bill

well were glad to have you gentlemen join us, and we will be glad to help out where we can

This will be the 3rd day that it's been down. I've checked it 10 times each day and no success, so I don't think it maintenance. All we can do is check it periodically in the next few weeks to see if it's some legal issue they are working on.

Potvinguy and I exchanged email address just a few days before it went down. So I have been in contact with him and just sent him a link to this website.

Look like they did n6t renew the domain name subscription.
A ping command in console can't resolve the hostname. So DNS server not working for that domain.
So it do not look like they are moving to another host, and its probably not a hosting problem(except if they mesed up the dns server\hardware failure). To me it look like they closed.

Very sad. I thought it was OK. Maybe the bill hasn't been paid. Lots of good stuff lost. I'm new to Grumpys, but thanks for the help.

I thought so too, RPM and Spirit didn't give any indication that things were not going to work out.

Glad to see you made it over, good thing we traded email addresses just in time!

Be sure and invite anyone else that you make contact with, the more the merrier. It's also an
easy transition since it's the exact same forum software.

I read somewhere on internet/on another forum they planned to close the site by the end of may.

I found the domain registrar, namesilo, and another group privacyguardian.org and have asked them for info. I know zip about this stuff, but will do whatever I can to get us back up.

That's good news! I miss the conversations. After a while you feel like you know the folks you are reading about.

just curious, before you run back there, what is the attraction, what can they provide that you can't find here?
the reason I ask is very few questions were ever posted, theres a huge amount of info left untouched on this site

The site has been up for a great many years. there are so many how too pictures there from a lot of very knowledgeable builders. A lot of people, with nothing but T Buckets. So So many build threads.

I think the attraction is that its a Club Grumpy.
T-Bucket Required of your own.

Its like Max Pontiac .
I really like it there.
Able to help others with street and race problems with Pontiacs.
Some info I learned here.

Its a Club too.
Man its Dead there Grumpy since they got rid of me.

No T-Bucket required to join the NTBA and it's not only a Club, but a FAMILY that are like minded in their passion for the FIRST true hot rod from the past starting in the 1920s.
You can find everything from 4 cylinder to massive blown hemi's in these little cars
