yeah I tend to buy a bunch of 9 volt and double AA batteries for diagnostic test equip,
and I learned the hard way that the brand of battery maters

If your like me you occasionally screw up and have a battery leak and damage test equipment,
obviously the battery connectors get corroded and need replacing,
but it really helps if you buy better quality batteries that don't tend to leak to begin with.:rolleyes::D

most test equipment has a battery, of some type,
volt / ohm meters,
amp meters
dwell meters,
code scanners
tachometers,
multi meters
noid lights
infrared temp thermometers,
a few types of timing lights
so it pays to swap out the batteries every few months before they go dead or leak and
corrode:mad:
its also a P.I.T.A. if the testy meter battery dies before you can use it!:(
