On my TBucket forum we have this lady that lives on the island of St Croix and is building a
TBucket with a 632 BBC. Oh, and btw she is 71 years old. She is technically savvy and can fabricate
when needed.

thats impressive in several ways,
could you post a list of the engine components she used to build that 632?

She drove drag boats in her younger years. Pretty sharp on electronics also, she
has designed some project for the casino where she works.

So, I have a bunch of updates with no pictures, only measurements.

1) The picture on the previous page that I asked you about with the flat 6-rib balancer that was bolted directly to the balancer that cleared the steering rack.

I tracked down the owner, and he did not have to relocate the rack.

2) I purchased the correct 1Pc RMS BBC to 700R4 flywheel from TCI, bolted right up to the stock 700R4 (in the garage).

3) I purchased the Speedmaster (I know I know, but it had decent reviews, and it was the only one I could find that was not $650)
https://www.speedmaster79.com/Chevy...I-Apprv-Ext-Balanced-Harmonic-Damper-Balancer, and it is 6.75"

4) I purchased the Dirty Dingo Slider Mounts https://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=1363
It adds 7/16" of height. Not good if you are trying to use the stock hood, Great if you are trying not to have to clearance your crossmember.

5) I Purchased the Low Profile old style twisted Edelbrock BBC O Torker, which has a carb pad height of 3.75" I picked up a fitech, it is exactly 3.5"

Motor mount location to China Wall, the BBC is .77" Taller, so if we add all of that up, we get a height of 8.4575 directly at the highest point center of the fi-tech over where a stock sbc bolt would be.

There is 8.5" of clearance from the bottom of the front of the stock tpi intake to the hood in the front, and there is 9.5" of clearance from the bottom of the intake manifold to the hood in the back of the block, with a stock tpi engine in there. that should work out to about 9" of Clearance in the middle.

I found this drop base air cleaner CHP-JR511B-1. It is a 2.5" drop with a 1/4" Offset. If I bias that towards the rear, its better because as you go to the rear of the car the hood clearance increases.

This filter K&N
E-3742 is 2.813" tall so add another .3" and that gets us to a slightly past the centerline of the carb pad tallest height of 8.7575.

I of course am going to have to order and test fit all of this stuff together, and it is a very specific list,

but I am fairly certain that this is a recipe for a straight drop in, no cutting necessary, big block installation into a C4 corvette that doesn't require rack relocation, K-member modification, and clears the stock hood.

The Torker intake will certainly be the weak point of this package, but good heads, a decent roller cam, and with the torker as the choke point, I don't see why 550 hp crank is not doable, and that is something of great interest to me.
