the DANA 60 rear differential

IF your thinking about replacing a 10 bolt , 12 bolt chevy or ford 8.8" rear with something stronger , most guys grab a ford 9", but you might also want to think about the DANA 60 rear that came in lots of pick-up trucks and vans, its 9.75" gears and really strong axles are significantly stronger than the 9" ford, but on the negative side they are MASSIVE, AND HEAVY as they are a good 40 lbs heavier than a 12 bolt or 9" ford, that extra steel is well used, and while darn near bullet proof they are more expensive on parts and harder to set up than the ford 9"

youll want to print these out before visiting salvage yards
