restricting the rights of the vast majority of law abiding citizens
just empowers the criminals who have no intention of following any laws

not UNTIL IT'S MADE FEDERAL LAW, vs state laws that the fed seems to assume are easily ignored
 
you want to significantly reduce gun related crime,
you simply need to make the RISK TO THE CRIMINALS ,
Of being killed , injured, or arrested for a felony in the commission of a crime very high, thus
far out-weight the potential financial gains.
AND allow average citizens who show minimal proficiency and a knowledge of the law to carry a handgun ,
concealed universally in every state,
make drug dealing and armed robbery, and politicians taking a bribe,A SERIOUS FELONY, WITH convictions a mandatory life sentence
make stand your ground laws inside your home or car mandatory, universal, thus increasing the risk to criminals

there's a truck load of legal regulations and dozens of ways the NFA will make millions of citizens, who currently own these rifles/hand guns into or they will be/ or will become felons instantly! under the current mandate! if you register the short barrel rifle, to make it legal during the 90 day legal window, they will eventually confiscate it.
thus a court battle is sure to start very shortly.

no I personally never owned or have ever owned a pistol/rifle with a pistol brace
yet the whole idea that the ATF can change laws making millions of people into felons over night,
makes me very mad!

Same here in Germany as we speak - German gun laws and bureaucratic nonsense is making it super difficult (almost impossible) to own guns since decades anyway, but now they are after semi automatics too. It's a mess.
