Also heard coil spring spacers can pop out on rough roads.

I bought another can of Free All Penetrating Oil this morning.
Went around the Spare 63 Gp Roller Frame and soaked all the Rear coil springs Bolted in Cresent Retainers bolts.
Did the same under the 63 Gp Pontiac.
Also soaked all rear lower control arm Bolts fasteners on both frames.

NASCAR uses the spring rubbers to adjust the suspension and I don't think you are going to put more strain on your suspension than they do

I always heard of the crews saying they need to add or remove a rubber then I saw them explain what they were they used to tie wrap them to the spring before the race in case they needed them

I use to have a ‘67 Cutlass 442, back in the ‘70s PA state inspections didn’t allow the rubber blocks on the coils. I had to install a pair of air shocks and that caused a harsh ride from what I remember. I don’t want to use air shocks now. Most of those rubber doughnuts are listing for SUVs and trucks. The others are not showing any fit for the big cars, just GTO, Tempest and Firebirds.

Have to look into Rear Air bags then for the Catalina.
Look at Summit Racing in the morning

The rubber spacers are allowed now, so if I can find a set that fits the rear coils then I’m a buyer.

I remember when PA didn’t allow headers or even hood scoops taller than factory.

Pa inspection laws are insane but its a little better now with the 1 year stickers before the 6 month stickers sucked especially for motorcycles

They might think you don't know what you are talking about and you know that most of these people think that they know everything and to be honest I didn't know that they made the GP in 63 that has to be the 1st year or not

1st year was 1962 For the Gp.
2nd year is mine 63.
Lots of Videos of past on You Tube pop up daily on early Vintage Pontiacs like mine I never seen. Its actually a past Favorite, just none of the other owners posted here on Grumps.
Some day I will redo the bodywork fresh paint .

Well today I decided it's a good idea to replace the Power Steering hoses on the 63 Pontiac Gp.
As far as I can tell they are Original 58 years old now.
Thought it would be easy low cost project for an afternoon.
The Return line is simple Hose that slips onto the Factory fitting on the Saginaw rear steer PS box then a simple hose clamp retains and same on the Classic Saginaw GM Power steering pump.
The High Pressure Power Steering line is unavailable not reproduced.
I searched hard all my sources for parts.
Rock Auto too.
Its actually the Rarest part of my Car the H.P. Power Steering Hose !

Looked at Universal Braided kits on Summit bad feedback on brand famous names, lines blow right off they state.
Looks like only Areoquip Racing PTFE Teflon lined stainless braid #8 & #10AN hose sizes with STEEL J.I.C. Fittings up to Task with correct Steel or stainless steel adapters.
Like to keep it simple the Factory Original line clears all nice routes clean.

A visit to local Hydraulic hose shop may be the answer.
Reuse my Original steel tubing ends and New Internal braided rubber High pressure hose installed with Crimped steel sleeve ends like Original GM.
