tips on building a peanut port big block combo

I recently had one of the local guys , stop by, he is,
one of the guys that I've helped build their cars over 5 decades,
he has a 1966 lemans that he originally purchased with a well worn 326 Pontiac engine, that he knew would need to be replaced.
its got a TH400 trans and a 3.36:1 rear gear ratio,
he built a .060 over bored 454 BBC with a set of 11:1 forged pistons and 6.385 " SCAT connecting rods, with 7/16" rod bolts
2-ICR6385-7/16 on a gen v BBC block with a single piece rear seal
he has a low rise dual quad intake, headers
,a vertex ignition full length 3" dual exhaust,
a mild hydraulic roller cam,
the car runs great and Im a bit envious
