Tire Puncture

I hadn't run into Murphy in quite awhile now, but he sure made-up for lost time last Friday.

I was headed to Ft Worth for the Good Guys car show last Friday. When I came out of work at
noon I had a flat tire, so I put the spare on to get me home where I could put a plug in the tire
and get on the road. But when I saw what caused the flat, I had my doubts about a plug
fixing this tire.
It was all I could do to even get this piece of metal out of the tire. I tried
putting a plug in the tire, but it only made a small difference in the leak.

I went to Hibdon Tire's where the tires were bought, but this tire was bought by the previous
owner and was not under warranty. So after 1-1/2 hours and a $140 later, I finally made it
home to pack and head out. Just 3 hours late leaving.

I hope Murphy doesn't stay away so long next time and maybe he will more gentle me !!!

What you see sticking out of the tire is about 2/3 of the total length.
