Too harsh of a ride

I have a 2006 Crew cab with the 6.5 ft bed. I don't have hauling or heavy loads, it's mainly used for commuter driving. my problem is on these patchwork quilt roads here in PA this truck bounces around and telegraphs every bump and crack on the road back to your seat. What can be done to smooth out the ride, remember that I don't care if i must sacrafice weight load ability (if that even matters)

I have the 04. If you swap to the z51 shocks and torsion bars that may work. The 6.5 is very heavy duty. Your truck may also have a rear sway bar on top of it. That adds to the harshness as well as having extra leafs in rear. Is your truck the 8 lug rims?

I just went true this with my 2004 1/2 ton ride was harsh I changed all for shocks and the ride did improve still not what I would of liked but much better and very bearable now

refelx shock is what I used
