First Edelbrock and I would like to thank Speedtalk.

It's been tough keeping my mouth shut over this stuff. It's been coming for a while and now it's actually here!!

New pro port BBC heads!!
Castings will be on display at Edelbrock's Booth at PRI and I will
be there to assist with any tech questions on their porting or CnC.

The most exciting new head from Edelbrock will be a series of Symmetrical port heads for
big block Chevy. BV3 employs a symmetrical port head architecture similar to the Pro Stock DRCE3, ..
valve locations rotated around bore center, wide valve cover.
The Big Victor 3 series includes 4 different heads, .. 2 in 4.84" standard bore spacing, ..
and 2 in 5" bore space with bolt pattern to fit common blocks from Brodix and Dart.
They take their own valve cover available from Moroso. Valve train is available from T&D and Jesel.

The two versions include a 14ºx 4º valve angle that is designed for Nitrous, turbos and blowers, the "power adder" version.
The "N/A" version has an 11º x 6º valve angle and is designed for high power naturally aspirated applications.

These heads are "game changers" for the BBC guys.
Of course these are available fully race prepped and cnc ported from RFD

But, .. they also will have cast single 4 intake manifolds made for them!!!
The manifolds are of three piece design where there is a valley tray, and a two piece spider that splits in 1/2 for porting.

Second bit of news, .. For those who favor the Asymmetrical Big Chief / Big Duke style heads, ..
there are new 14º and 11º versions that still take the same headers and intake manifolds many already have.
The advantage these new offerings have over the other Asymmetrical heads on the market is the greatly
improved valve train. Working with Jesel, Edelbrock engineers corrected some of the "bad habits" of this head design
to gain more stability in the valve train.

The short deck conventional BBC manifold that you've all been waiting for will be available
in a month. The first castings are going through several dyno tests
and just like it's big brother is showing a sizable power gain as well
as better ET over other manifolds available.
