Found a guy looking to sell his V7 YS trim what is something like that worth? im looking to make make about 800WHP and think that is a good unit to use with my 468BBC

Its always best to CALL the MANUFACTURER and find out what a TOTAL REBUILD will cost,( IF the parts are rebuild-able) and the EXACT application the supercharger, in question is designed for, and its current price to replace, find out if its CURRENTLY in production or discontinued, before bidding on components and even then a careful inspection is mandatory, I see lots of JUNK in need of a total rebuild sold on EBAY for example as good used parts.
when you buy used superchargers its almost a given its ASSUMED that they are in NEED of a rebuild before use, and purchasing a size/trim that won,t match your application , displacement, compression and fit into your vehicle with the required brackets being available is rather a waste of time & money

well the guy i would be buying it from is a friend of a good friend so i trust him when he says it only has 1500 miles on it the new version is a YSi the YSi is good for 1200 the ys is only good for 1100 maxed out so i figure that the YS on about 10-12psi should get me where i want to go in a safe pump gas manner.....

centrifugal,,superchargers and turbos can do amazing things to your power curve if matched to the correct components, but
when you start to exceed about 6-7 psi boost on pump gas you frequently need to start thinking seriously about inter-coolers, bye-pass valves or blow off valves and detonation reducers like alcohol or water injection systems, and possibly reducing the compression or boosting the octane and octane boosters like toluene, and ignition retarding control features. and building a supercharged engine requires different, compression ratios, engine clearances, cam timing, cooling and exhaust components

yes if the price is good ID jump on it in a heart beat!,
but ID also suggest you get it carefully inspected
