I Bought a 2002 C5 last month.. anyways i want to jump directly to the issue i'm having..
I had a bunch of teenagers at my house for a recent bbq along with 30 other people and there were many neighborhood people there. So i dont know who to point the finger at..
Long story short, I had a gallon container of BEHR Concrete degreaser at 10% level on the shelf on my garage. I found it near the corvette empty. Opened my hood, which was unlocked and the dust on the OIL cap part was clean. I think a troublemaker might have emptied the little concrete cleaner into my Engine OIL. I am worried as f**k!! I havent started my engine..
Am on my way to the shop to pick up new oil and filter.. should I get engine flush as well?
I am NOT moving or starting my car..
I am so damn MAD!!
Whatever happened to decency...
yes ,step one drain the oil, then, replace the oil filter!
when in doubt, be cautious , and play it safe!
and if it was my corvette ID pour a gallon of cheap 10w30 oil , mixed with a gallon of diesel fuel,
through the engine after that,
and let that drain out, strait through, before replacing the oil,
with a second flush, of more cheap 10w30,
ID start the engine let it run for 2 minutes,
then drain that and replace that oil and oil filter ,
only then would I put in a new oil filter and good fresh quality oil,
thats going to be dirt cheap compared to trashing the engine
